Sunday 25th October 2026 | 10am – 4pm

As the clocks turn back and the moon grows full, we gather to soften into winter.

As autumn begins to draw to a close and the darker season approaches, Wintering invites you to pause.

To step away from the noise, the pressure and the constant doing.

To take a breath.

To gather warmth.

To reconnect with yourself before winter arrives.

Held at Laurel Park Retreat Centre, this intimate retreat day has been lovingly created as a seasonal threshold — a space to reflect on what has been, release what no longer serves, and prepare yourself for the months ahead with greater intention, steadiness and self-compassion.

This is not about fixing yourself.

It is not about becoming more productive or striving for a better version of yourself.

It is about honouring the wisdom of the season.

It is about softening.

Wintering; A Seasonal Retreat Day in the Fens

What to expect

Throughout the day you will be guided through a carefully curated blend of practices and experiences designed to nourish mind, body and spirit.

Together we will explore:

✨ Grounding and energy practices

✨ Seasonal reflection and journalling

✨ Gentle ritual and intention setting

✨ Creative and sensory experiences

✨ Opportunities for rest and deep nourishment

✨ Time to reconnect with nature

✨ Meaningful conversation and community

✨ A seasonal closing to honour the turning of the season

No previous experience is necessary.

Simply come exactly as you are.

Embarking on the journey of meditation holds the key to managing stress, enhancing mental clarity, and nurturing overall well-being. Yet, starting this exploration might seem overwhelming, and discovering what resonates with you is a personal adventure.

The sheer amount of clients I’ve worked with who struggle to maintain a sustainable practice that fits their busy lifestyles is unsurprising. But often all it takes is a designated supportive space in which you are free to join others in this wonderful journey.

The Setting

Wintering will take place at Laurel Park Retreat Centre, a beautiful retreat space nestled amongst trees and open skies on the Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire borders.

The landscape of the Fens offers a fitting backdrop for this day.

Wide horizons.

Autumn light.

Quiet beauty.

Space to listen inward.

As the clocks turn back and darkness begins to arrive earlier, we will gather in warmth and community to honour this seasonal transition together.

What to expect

There will be a minimum of 3 group sessions per month; take a look at Septembers schedule.

Each session will be recorded and added to our private members-only Facebook group so you have access whenever you’d like to repeat the process.

And I’ll be on hand after each session to discuss anything that comes up for you personally.

We began January 2024 so why not be a Founding Member?

With a self-care practice that will benefit and support you in ways you could only imagine!

Invite peace into your day

Approaching meditation with an open and curious mindset is essential, acknowledging that it can’t be forced but should be invited. By creating a space for yourself and embracing the experience, you unlock the myriad benefits meditation offers.

With the right guidance, meditation transforms into a potent tool for fostering peace, clarity, and inner strength.

This community is here to accompany you on your journey towards a more mindful, centred, and fulfilling life.

I look forward to being part of your journey!

  • “I absolutely loved being part of Wendys’ meditation course, not only does Wendy teach different meditation practices but she also gives you the science behind them. I found being able to learn different techniques worked well as it allowed me to understand what worked best for me and what helps out the most. Wendy was so calm, patient and understanding through all the sessions, it was a joy to be part of.”

  • “I was sceptical to say the least. I wouldn’t be able to do it, why should I meditate, I have wanted to try meditation for a while but didn’t know where to start. Did I really have to sit cross legged and chant? How exactly do you meditate? Wendy explains everything. She breaks it down into bite size pieces and allows you to experience different types of meditation over the 5 week course. There is a lot of science around how meditation works and benefits the mind and body, and Wendy explains all of this. Having completed this course I feel confident going forward that I will be including meditation in my weekly life.”

  • “I was sceptical to say the least. I wouldn’t be able to do it, why should I meditate, it’s not for me, why would I spend my time doing that… these are all the things I would tell myself…. But WOW how wrong was I!?! Wendy used the 5 weeks to show us all that meditation can be for anybody and that although it might not look the same for each person, everyone can meditate. By amalgamating both theory and practical within the course, we got the opportunity to try out different styles of mediation, learn about what happens to you while you meditate and the benefits to your wellbeing. It certainly changed that way I think and feel about meditation. I would urge anyone who wants to enhance their time on this little planet of ours to add meditation into their regular wellbeing regime and if you don’t know how or why, sign up to learn more about it… Wendy is lovely, knows her stuff and will put you at ease.”
